Whoever does plenty of Dhikr of “lā ilāha illā Allāh” will find sustenance in this world and the next, forgiveness of sins, and the removal of trials. All the personal, monetary, and familial trials that descend in this world are a result of sin. God, be He exalted, said, “You are not afflicted with any affliction but that it be a result of what the hands of people have acquired and He pardons much.” (5:15)
When the human being says this statement, which is “lā ilāha illā Allāh,” the heavens, veils, footstool, and throne are saddened until they stand before the Lord, be He blessed and exalted and say: I will not leave this place until you find a way out for the one who is saying it. This is understood from the words of the Prophet, peace be upon him, “The best of what I have said and the Prophets before me is ‘lā ilāha illa Allāh’.
Allāh taught the Prophet, peace be upon him, the knowledge of all that is initial and all that is final and gave him ample provision. Look at what He taught and bestowed him of secrets, sciences, remembrances, supplications and whatever else. With all that he was given, he said the best of it is in lā ilāha illa Allāh.’ Thus we know that this statement is superior to all that they recite of remembrances…
